Services
Evaluation
-
We offer comprehensive evaluations in the areas of: receptive language, expressive language, speech (articulation, phonology), fluency (stuttering or cluttering), and pragmatic language (social communication). Second-opinion evaluations are also offered.
-
All new clients must have an evaluation prior to beginning treatment to assess the area(s) of concern and determine an appropriate plan of care. An exception to this may be if you have a current report from another provider/school district. The report must not be more than 1 year old. Evaluations include a case history with a primary caregiver and direct assessment, which typically takes approximately 1 - 1.5 hours. Evaluations also include a written report.
Therapy
-
Therapy is personalized and always evidence-based. At Bridge Speech Therapy, our aim is to support clients to become more effective and confident communicators. Therapy is strengths-based and delivered with compassionate care—your child’s voice, wellbeing, and unique needs are always at the center of therapy.
-
Caregivers are encouraged to be an active part of therapy sessions in order to facilitate generalization of skills and maximize progress. We will work collaboratively to determine the frequency and setting that best meets your child's individual needs. Therapy is provided on a 1:1 basis and can be delivered in the home or in other settings, such as a daycare or preschool.
Consultations and Parent Coaching
-
Do you want to know how to have better interactions with your child, which will yield improved communication? Do you want simple and easy to remember strategies that will enhance your child's communication? All this and more can be discussed through parent coaching sessions.
-
As a parent, you know your child best and are the best person to help in improving their communication skills. Parent coaching focuses on empowering and supporting you to confidently use strategies to support your child’s development day-to-day. Sessions can be done via video chat or in-home.
Consultation sessions may also include collaboration requests with other professionals, including providing advice and training to other professionals involved in your child’s care.
